Yes, you, wake up!
Haven’t we slept enough? Haven’t we ignored God’s warning enough? Tell me, who has bewitched us? Who has blinded our eyes, so we do not see the signs of the end? How long will the devil continue to deceive us and suck us dry of the knowledge of God’s word.
He has deceived us and has made us addicted to the internet, feeding our minds with corruption and filthiness every single day. He has made us to applaud sinners and wish to be like them. He has fed us with too much wine of unrighteousness and compromise.
Now, watching comedy skits, movies and news is sweeter than studying the word of God. When messages like this are posted, we ignore them because we feel they are too voluminous and uninteresting but when long posts of celebrities are uploaded, we do not hesitate to read till the end.
The enthusiasm is no more there, the love has faded, the passion is lost and the consecration is no where to be found. We no longer see the need to be purified and sanctified. Jealousy, envy, bitterness, unforgiveness, hatred, unbelieve, faithlessness, doubt and unrighteousness has creeped in.
Ha!…hmm…ooh! The first love has been lost. We have left the first and original love. We have abandoned the great commission (mark 16:15). The evangelists have gone to rest, the prayer warriors are still snoring, writer are now writing to entertain, the singers are now singing to gain praise and the leaders are weak to follow up the flocks.
Wake up! Before the trumpet sounds and the grace departs. Wake up! Before the gifts and talents in us dies completely. Wake up! Before the souls waiting for our manifestation perish. Wake up! Before it is too late. Wake up! And preach the gospel to all who are not saved, so that their blood will not be required from our hands.
“Nevertheless, I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thy repent.” Revelations 2: 4-5.
“…I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remains, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.” Revelations 3: 1-2.
I pray, that the Lord gives us the grace to awaken to righteousness and recover us back to the first love. Finally, may the gifts and talents given to us never be a waste in our lives. AMEN!!!
