Today’s Scripture For Encouragement, I’d shared 2 Timothy 4:1. But, my concentration had been upon the words, “I charge thee.” In these words, we discovered how the Apostle Paul was greatly urging Timothy to “Preach the Word!”

Some of us have answered His call and have called on the name of the Lord! But some still have not! Do you remember, in your life, when you thought that you didn’t need Jesus? That’s why some have still not called upon the name of the Lord.

Deuteronomy 30:19 is a an offer from GOD to have life! Jesus said of that life: “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of GOD.” John 3:18

But Deuteronomy 30:19 also declares that all choices that are made are made in the presence of witnesses.

“I call heaven…” –GOD, and even the angels of heaven are witnesses to choices being made for or against life!”…and earth…” –Satan, and his demons too, are witnesses to choices being made for or against life!

When you choose life, Luke 15: 7 & 10 say: “I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine righteous {just} persons, which need no repentance.”; “Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.”What do these verses declare?

The angels rejoice when someone chooses life! So, does Satan and his demons rejoice when someone rejects life? Regardless, there will be enough witnesses to confirm anyone’s choice!Paul, too, is saying to Timothy that GOD and the Lord Jesus Christ are his witnesses. This prevents Timothy from making any excuse!

GOD is calling on man directly. I charge thee, therefore, before GOD, and the Lord Jesus Christ,”GOD has a great calling for each of us. Let’s not neglect Him! “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,” (Hebrews 12:1)
