Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the LORD, and worshipped. Then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat.”2 Samuel 12:20 ~KJV Have you ever heard Dale Carnegie’s quote, “Remember, today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday,”?
I’ve never heard it put so compactly, but maybe Jesus’ meant exactly that when He said, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” (Matthew 6:34)Our experiences of today are/were the future of yesterday! Handle the problems of today without worrying about tomorrow! That’s exactly what Jesus wants us to do!
Do you know that your strong demeanour in life’s worst situations could help your neighbour just as much as Moses and the Prophets helped us?
“Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or in dread of them, for the LORD your GOD is the One who is going with you. He will not desert you or abandon you.”Deuteronomy 31:6GOD bless His Word!
